I've noticed that a surprising number of people check out the last page of TAiYN before deciding whether to spend time reading the story.

I can understand the desire to find out whether it has a happy ending, but by jumping to page five and skimming over the last two chapters you effectively change (I would even say spoil) your experience of the story. It's a bit like reading a murder mystery and skipping to the end to find out whodunnit. Yes, you might still decide to read, but your perceptions will be coloured by what you've already read, and you won't experience the story in quite the way I intended.

If you've already read the first eight chapters and want to continue reading, you can do so HERE.

Otherwise, if you want to find out whether this story has a happy ending, you can display the information in the spoiler box below:

Spoiler:
Of course it has a happy ending! I don't write unhappy stories. There are no deaths or dismemberments; no suicides or tragic accidents. 'To Act' is a simple love story, where the good guy gets the girl in the end. Of all the readers who gave me their opinion when I was posting this, no one was unhappy with the way the story ended.

The main point behind this story is that these people are playing the part of characters from Pride and Prejudice. Being an original story, this is ultimately Miranda and Sebastian's romance, not Elizabeth & Darcy's. However, there are a number of similarities with Jane Austen's text, which - like in P&P - are gradually revealed as the story progresses.
